How SABS Works
Step 1: Foam Frame Assembly
SABS construction exclusively utilizes expanded polystyrene (EPS) foam as the primary framing material. Unlike traditional construction methods that rely on wood, steel, or other framing materials, SABS replaces these elements entirely with EPS foam panels. These panels serve multiple functions by acting as both insulation and structural components in a single assembly. Electrical and plumbing systems are integrated directly into the foam framework, eliminating the need for conventional framing materials altogether.
How SABS Works
Step 2: Structural Coating Application
After completing the foam frame assembly, Step 2 involves applying a specialized structural coating known as Sabscrete. This innovative material is applied uniformly to both exterior and interior surfaces of the structure, including roofs, ceilings, walls, and mid-floors. The coating thickness is carefully calibrated according to the patented system specifications. Once applied, it bonds with the EPS foam, transforming the entire structure into a monolithic unit. This process enhances the structural integrity of the building, enabling it to withstand extreme conditions such as:
Earthquakes up to a magnitude of 9 on the Richter scale.
Fire resistance with a 0% flame spread rating for both the EPS foam and Sabscrete material.
Wind resistance up to 250 MPH (hurricane-force winds).
How SABS Works
Step 3: Apply The Finishes
In Step 3, the structure undergoes standard finishing processes similar to conventional construction projects. This includes applying exterior finishes such as paint or stucco and installing doors, windows, and other architectural elements. The finished SABS building is indistinguishable from traditional structures in appearance.
